Golden river ring
£135.00 – £228.00
This silver and 18ct gold ring design sprang, as many do, from a client’s commission. The original was set with ten small rubies and was commissioned as a Ruby Wedding gift.
The ring is in silver with different levels and finishes and the ‘river’ is a reticulated 18ct gold inlay that curves and swerves all the way around the ring The reticulated surface gives it the appearance of rippling water.
This is a hard thing.
I’ve used 18ct gold because it gives a lovely rich colour in contrast to the silver but I can make it with 9ct rose gold as an option as well.
It’s really only suitable for larger sizes. The ring cannot be cut down because the detail will then have a step in it so I’m offering it in sizes ‘O’ to ‘U’. I could make you a smaller version but it will cost rather more. Do contact me if you’re interested though.
New Larger Version
You’ll see two rings in the main image. Since I introduced the original one I’ve had a client who wanted a larger version with a wider golden river as his wedding ring so there are now two to choose from.
The larger one is 1cm wide and is suitable for a man or woman. Because there’s a good deal more gold on this one I’m offering it in silver and 9ct gold as well as 18ct.
You’ll find a short video below if you have 36 seconds to spare.
The ring is approximately 8mm wide and weighs around 7 grams depending on the size. I’ve applied a brushed finish to the flat surface and left the curved surface polished but I can supply it all brushed or all polished if you prefer.
