You may have seen my Moonrise pendant with a half moon diamond and a truncated amethyst marquise.
It’s a premium piece and not the cheapest thing in my range but I do sell a few.
It involves cutting the top off a large marquise and then refaceting and polishing the stone to fit the pendant.
Let’s just say that it’s easy to take a little too much off.
Size isn’t everything and rather than waste an beautiful stone I made this silver and gold pendant as a one off. The original Moonrise has the half moon diamond at the top, representing the moon peeping over the horizon. With the addition of the gold bead I really have to call this one Sunrise.
The amethyst began life as a 16 X 8mm stone and the gold bead is 7.5mm in diameter. I prefer the look of it on the neck wire but I’m happy to supply it with a snake chain instead and you’ll see both options pictured here.
I’m selling it at just enough to pay for the materials but I’ll make you another in a different stone if you’re interested. That one will cost a little more.
