Pearl torque necklace
This is a design that I’ve been thinking about for a while now. I wanted something minimal and striking that was also light and easy to wear.
The fine silver wire tapers into the tear drop end and the other end is balanced with a single 5mm pearl.
I draw the wire down from a greater diameter; a process that involves pulling it through a tiny tapering hole. This has the effect of compressing and hardening it so that it has some spring and retains its shape when you put it around your neck. It’s still soft enough that you can bend it gently to get it into just the right shape or to the change the orientation of the pearl and drop.
For most people the standard size will be fine and it equates to a 16″ necklace. If you have a very small or a slightly larger neck then you can choose one of the other options.
I’ve used a pink pearl for the image but you can choose a white pearl or a garnet, amethyst of lapis lazuli bead. If you’d prefer something different then please ask.
